Svalbard #24 depicts one of the rare instances when the sun broke through the thick layer of clouds that persisted throughout our three week stay in the Norwegian Arctic. This particular moment arrived during a four-day boat trip from Longyearbyen to Ny Olesund, an international scientific research base about 400 miles from the North Pole.
