In my paintings I am very interested in human nature, feelings, vulnerability, organic objects, and how they can be perceived in real life. My work is about human beings. I am looking at people with a curious gaze. This painting series focuses on a young girl who is too frail and sweet to go against the steady flow of society. However, she will never give up. I am detailing the strength of the human spirit yet emphasizing the desperate, floating, drifting feelings of a modern girl. Sometimes I feel that I am lighter than air, this passive emotion that all of us experience at some time in our life.
