Artist statement

I am very interested in human nature, feelings, vulnerability, organic objects and how they are perceived in real life. My work is about human beings who I explore with a curious gaze. I am interested in the mind and the body, our desire for perfection, DNA, designer babies, superhumanity, posthumanism, the primordial soup, and everything that makes us human. For me, the chemical reactions that occur inside our bodies bring about constant, restless change and transformation. Just as elements react within the body, I want a process whereby the viewer reacts viscerally to the image.
