Irene Suchocki is a freelance fine art photographer based in Montreal, Canada. Combining her love of travel with her dream-like aesthetic, Irene creates visual poems that evoke a sense of magic, delight, nostalgia and romance. Her series of photographs of Paris, New York, and Italy show these iconic places in a unique way, giving the viewer the sense of having tumbled through a secret doorway into a previously unseen world. Irene's work is in thousands of private collections around the world and has been featured on television in shows such as Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, The Nate Berkus show, and The Steven and Chris Show on CBC in Canada. I fell in love with Paris at an early age. While studying French at grade school, my mind would wander to the Paris in my imagination. I was able to visit the city for the first time in my teens and was so taken by its beauty that I could barely believe that it was real. Upon returning to Paris as a photographer, I tried to capture that feeling of being caught up in a dream; a very beautiful dream, but one that is tinged with melancholy because it has to end.
