Warhol is having a moment - again

Two curious, yet oddly related, pieces of art news popped up in our facebook feed today. The first is that Campbell's Soup will be launches a series of limited-edition Andy Warhol soup cans available only through Target this Sunday. The second (via ArtInfo) is that the French makeup brand NARS is also launching a new makeup line entitled the Andy Warhol Collection featuring, for example, Warhol's flowers in a blush compact, Factory inspired nail colors etc. At first we thought the soup thing was a joke, but apparently it's legit! (To coincide with their Hipster Soup line released to coincide with the anniversary of the 32 Campell's Soup Cans, really?!). Which makes us wonder, has the Warhol Foundation had a change of leadership or are they just pursuing new licensing streams? Curious but enjoyable - we'll take it!
