ArtStar: Who are some of your favorite artists?
Elizabeth: My number one has and always will be my mom. She’s an incredible talent and all of her work has such sentimental value. I’d cover our whole apartment in her art if only she would part with it!
My other all-time favorite is David Hockney. I put up poster versions of his pool paintings in my childhood bedroom when I was growing up, and I still love them today.
ArtStar: What are your favorite colors for the following: walls, rugs, and nails?
- Walls: We just used Benjamin Moore Grey Cashmere in our master bedroom, and it makes me so happy every time I walk in. A very serene pale grey that has a gorgeous celadon undertone.
- Rugs: Always darker tones to hide any bad behavior by our dog, Sophie. A dark grey herringbone has served us well.
- Nails: Pigeon’s blood in the winter, pale pink in the summer.
ArtStar: What are your top items for styling a coffee table?
Elizabeth: I love a small sculptural object along with some books that have personal meaning, plus some sort of chic box or container to hide remote controls and other necessary clutter.
ArtStar: Flats or heels?
ArtStar: Animal print or gingham?
Elizabeth: Animal print.
