30" x 30"edition of 1$2,600.00

30 x 30 inches on panel Poplar Wood
mixed media
This painting is very special to me because it was the first of a 59 piece series I did for a Hospital in New Orleans. I was given the task of filling 59 patient rooms in the ICU section of the University Medical Center. I wanted to provide the patients with an escape or a moment of serenity from their current situation. I kept a very specific and calming palette in mind. When this free-flowing piece came to life, I knew I had to continue the series for the hospital with that same cathartic and mindful expression as I had used in "Swan Lake". At the end of the day, I hope this series brought some joy or provided a source of peace for the patients as it did for me.
