To create this series of photographs, Badessi came up with a technique that addresses some of the fascinating laws of physics involving the reflection of light. This project allowed him also to approach the color theory on a unique way and to work with one of his preferred tools: symbolism. What makes the INNOCENCE series so unique is the fact that Badessi managed to exploit, with great relevance, the two main characteristics of the photography medium: the capturing of time in a fraction of a second and the use of light.
LAURENT ELIE BADESSI
Laurent Elie Badessi is a Franco American fine art photographer born in France. He belongs to a family with three generations of photographers. From an early age, this enabled him to explore and appreciate the art of photography. Badessi started his career in Paris and continued working abroad before moving to the United States in the early 1990s. Badessi uses symbolism, mythology, and historical and cultural references to create his images. The study of the interaction between him “the photographer” and his subject “the sitter”, and the exploration of the impact of photography on people, are both fundamental vectors in his artistic quest. His work often addresses subtle and relevant questions on social, political, and cultural issues, such as the relationship with nudity, religion, war or the environment. Innocence (2009-Present) explores “the fragility of life”, an important topic in his work. Solo and group shows of his work have taken place around the world in major cities like New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Miami, London, Milan, Rome, Paris, Nice, Barcelona, Kuwait City, Beijing, Monaco and Dubai. Badessi lives and works in New York City.

Once your artwork is made by our printer, it must be allowed to outgas for 24 hours before being framed and/or shipped. ** Please note that we employ professional framers, shippers and handlers on all orders and only handle our prints with white gloves. While occasional damage by USPS or FedEx in transit is out of our control, we are happy to work with you to resolve any damage that does occur. However, damage in transit is relatively rare.
As our prints are custom made to order according to your preferences, all of our prints are final sale and non-returnable. We guarantee the quality of our prints, so if your order was shipped with a defect or arrived damaged, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

All frames include:

Extra small and small frames have .75" molding 2" mats, and are 1.2" deep. Medium and large frames have 1" molding, 3" mats and are 2" deep. Mattless frames have a spacer to prevent the print from touching the acrylic.
We do not frame the extra large print sizes because they are too large to ship without risking damage.
ArtStar does not accept returns. Works damaged in transit may be exchanged on a case by case basis within 30 days of arrival. Please email us as soon as you receive the damaged work at email@example.com. Please do not open your artwork yourself. It is very delicate and difficult to get back in the packaging without damage. Please let a trained framer open the artwork. We do not take back artwork damaged by the customer.
