EXPLODING POWDER MOVEMENT: BLUE + PINK

This image belongs to the Lola-inspired Movement series that won 1st place in the 2009 American Photographic Artists awards.

The idea was to shoot fragrances without actually shooting them as they are packaged for sale. This led the artist to design a series of images that represent the intangible qualities of perfume. The artist attempted to capture the product without actually photographing it, but rather to express the ideas and emotions that combined to create it. The intangible qualities that are the essence of any physical product are reinterpreted and expressed in this series of images.
