Alicia Eggert

Alicia Eggert is an American artist based in Texas whose work focuses on the relationship between language, image and time. The motivation behind most of her work is a sincere desire to understand the linear, finite and fleeting nature of human life within a cyclical and seemingly infinite universe. Her artwork often takes the form of flashing neon signs that inspire a sense of wonder. The signs are installed and photographed in different locations around the world, allowing each site to uniquely influence the work’s meaning. Alicia’s artworks have been exhibited internationally, at venues such as the CAFA Art Museum in Beijing, the Triennale Design Museum in Milan, the Amsterdam Light Festival in Amsterdam, and Galeria Fernando Santos in Porto, Portugal.
