Colour, form, space and time are the main elements in the work of Johan Van Oeckel. In search for new compositions he always starts from small sketches based on fragments of real objects, art, architecture, design... Often making formal allusions to abstract modernism, Van Oeckel is interested in 'time' anchored in form and colour, as they can carry a certain time frame or age. How do they become so powerful that they are archetypes for a certain period in art history? How does a new language of forms emerge that in turn can define a possible future of abstract art?

All Frames Include:
- UV-blocking acrylic plexiglass
- Acid-free, archival materials
- 100% natural wood molding with a deep profile.
Frame Specifications:
- Extra small and small frames: .75" molding, 2" mats, 1.2" deep
- Medium and large frames: 1" molding, 3" mats, 2" deep
- Matless frames have a spacer to prevent print from touching the acrylic.
