A Few Frequently Asked Questions
Here's the lowdown.
How is my order shipped?
All 11x14" prints are shipped inside a fitted plastic sleeve in a rigid mailer. 20x24", 30x40" and 40x60" prints are shipped in a special fortified tube to guard against bending or damage. Framed prints are shipped via FedEx in a bespoke cardboard box with a fitted interior armature for the frame.
If your order is less than $1000 the package will not require a signature. If your item is over $1000 your package WILL require a signature.
ArtStar is not responsible for any packages that have not been signed for upon delivery.
Do you offer a Trade Program?
Yes, we offer a Trade Program with exclusive benefits & perks.
Why should I get my print custom framed with ArtStar?
Because you can skip a trip to the framer's - and because a frame protects your art (and your investment). Oils can be transferred to the print from your hands and rough treatment can scratch the surface and harm the pigment.
What is a limited edition?
An edition is a limited run of a specific piece of artwork. For example, an edition of 15 means that only 15 examples of that work will be printed - ever. If you own edition 2/15 then you own the second editioned piece of that print run. Once an edition is closed, no further prints will be made of it at that size.
How are your prints made?
ArtStar's limited edition prints are published to the highest industry quality by a fine art printer using fully archival Epson inkjet pigments on acid-free, cotton rag paper. Our printing method is known as giclee and differs from digital C-prints or screenprinting. All pieces are fully archival and use all-natural materials. All works are printed with a 1 inch white border to allow for matting and framing, and we never crop or alter our artists' images.
Do you accept returns?
ArtStar does not accept returns. Works damaged in transit may be exchanged within 14 days.
Contact hello@artstar.com if your work arrived damaged.
How are prints authenticated?
All prints are accompanied by a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity to maintain the integrity of your print. The authenticity card contains the artist's signature, the edition number and the title of the work, as well as the ArtStar certification of authenticity.
How are your frames made? Do you use glass or acrylic?
All mats are acid free and custom cut to perfectly fit your artwork. All frames are hand-built by a professional framer and have Plexiglass fronts to prevent against breakage and offer UV protection. The authenticity card is mounted on the back.
Do you offer custom sizing?
