Aurélien Villette was born in 1982 in Chesnay near Paris. It was after a desire for a radical lifestyle change in 2008 that he refocused on his lifelong passion: traveling. It was at this point that he discovered photography. Since then, he has visited more than fifty countries to meet societies and stories that have shaped his vision of the world. What Aurélien highlights in his photos is a personal point of view on our civilization and its changes through architectural constructions. His photography documents how architecture manifests cultural change. After having obtained the congratulations of the jury during the SFR Jeunes Talents 2012 competition with his series Structure and Structures, he then became a professional photographer and built his projects and his research around what he calls the Spirit of Place.
