Laurent Elie Badessi

What makes the INNOCENCE series so unique is the fact that Badessi managed to exploit, with great relevance, the two main characteristics of the photography medium: the capturing of time and the use of light. To create this series of photographs, Badessi came up with a technique that addresses some of the fascinating laws of physics involving the reflection of light and the capture of time. This project gave the artist the opportunity to approach the color theory in a very unique way on actual sculptures he created with extremely delicate elements such as foil and butterflies, transforming them from an ephemeral state into a “permanent” one.
