Photographer Dewey Nicks was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Nicks studied photography at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. He has been a professional fashion and commercial photographer since 1986. His work has been featured in magazines such as Vogue, W, and GQ. Nicks’ first book, Kustom, inspired by car culture, plastic surgery, and the energetic excess of Southern California, was published in 2000.
