Philip Ahlqwist was born and raised in Gothenburg, Sweden. After 20 successful years in the advertising industry working as an award-winning Creative Director, he made his debut as an artist in 2017. Exploring the relationship between reality and the digital world is at the core of his practice. Natural elements are often the focus, such as light, flowers and landscapes, which are then transformed into bold, abstract shapes. "My passion is to give the cool and surgical precision of digital media a feeling of lifelike, tactile qualities. The art is born online, but it comes alive offline."
