DIVERSITY FOR US IS A JOURNEY

Social concern, responsibility and the notion that provocative issues can be approached with beauty and sensitivity are the foundations of Sara's work. She is interested in looking closely at the way in which sensitive issues such as gender, class, mass production and consumption, and consumerism are interrelated, approached, and discussed. Art offers an alternate access point and therefore, a potentially less volatile environment in which to examine such topics. It is here that there is room for humor, metaphor, beauty, and play in the realm of highly controversial socio-political issues.

SARA BACON

Sara is the founder and creative director of Command C, a Brooklyn-based web design and development studio. She has extensive knowledge of user interface design and is hellbent on adaptivity: on the web, in business and in life in general. Sara holds a BA from Smith College and an MFA from Tyler School of Art.
